이경미는 유년기의 기억과 문명, 역사적 서사를 고양이 등 상징적 존재를 통해 회화와 저부조 입체로 표현해왔다. 그의 작업은 ‘보는 것과 믿는 것’ 사이의 간극을 환영과 착시로 탐구하며, 현실과 이상 사이의 부조리를 조형적 상상력으로 메우는 시도다. 평면과 입체를 넘나드는 독특한 형식은 위로의 메시지이자, 개인을 넘어선 공동체적 공감을 지향한다.
